In today's lesson we are going to get you guys to explore different formats of horror fiction, based on the formats we have already discussed in class and the genres we are now familiar with.

Each page will provide you with activities to complete for each format to demonstrate your understanding and to help you decide what format you would like to choose for your summative assessment.

Literary Devices

Literature devices such as plot line, characters, setting, atmosphere, shock value, and theme.

Horror Genres

The genres of Gothic, Sci-Fi, Paranormal, and Survival.

Literature Formats

Podcasts, Film, Books, Short Stories, Comics, and Poetry.

Your Upcoming Assessment Piece:

Your Summative Assessment piece will be a creative piece of your own creation.

You will choose a horror genre, creative format, and presentation method.

You will be marked on your engagement with provided resources and your creative process also, make sure to document throughout your learning to provide a short process folio with your final piece.

This can be annotated to further discuss what changes you made along the way to creating your piece.
